And this is the full version of our OBX trip. The previous version I posted didn't have our full family beach session included, but I included it for this album. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!
I started this blog back when I first became pregnant with Conner. I used it solely to record my pregnancy. Then it turned into the record-baby's-first-year-of-everythings blog. Then it pretty much just became and is the all-encompassing family blog. And it's been fun to see the gradual change from one to the other.
For my formal shoots, I primarily use a 5d and the 24-70 f/2.8 lens.
Most of the pictures posted on this blog are when I'm in "mommy-mode", meaning I'm taking snapshots with either my camera phone or my various point-and-shoot cameras. These are either the Canon Powershot SD800IS Digital Elph, Olympus Stylus Tough, or the Panasonic Lumix LX3. Yep, I do love my cameras!
I decided quite some time ago, for our family, instead of focusing on the "perfect" shot like I do with client sessions, I want to take a ton of not-so-perfect pictures to record our lives. These pictures are far from perfect, often blurry due to an active child and a slow shutter, and usually not edited whatsoever. I like being able to stick the P&S in my pocket and run off to the park with the kiddo, and we all know that life itself is not perfect!
