Happy Halloween!

Today was all about my little dude. We had a Halloween costume parade this morning, then a party in the afternoon. Then of course we had to make some time for some pictures and then formal or about as formal as T-or-T'ing gets, in the evening with his little buddies. Made for a very tiring day and Conner just crashed this evening.

Conner was a giraffe this year. But of course he woke up wanting to be an alligator. And then he changed his mind about 3-4 other times over the course of the day between wanting to be a pirate, a turtle, Bob the Builder...

I don't think he quite gets the whole concept of pre-choosing one costume and then not changing it as his mind changes!

A week in the life...

I wanted to do this project that Ali (http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/week_in_the_life_/index.html) posted last month but life got in the way and it got put on the back burner. But now I'm ready so I started the week today.

I think it''ll be really fun to record everything, even the mundane things, that we do the whole week. And I started today so that I could have Halloween included. I'm a sucker for holidays! ;-)

I took a whole bunch of pictures of Conner this morning doing our everyday morning routine...lying in bed watching tv, eating breakfast, brushing his teeth. Even took my camera to school and took some quick snaps of him in circle time. :-)  He's been at his new school for nearly two months now and this is the first time I've brought my camera to school. How bad!

 

And I plan to just use my little point-and-shoot for most the pictures. That way I won't have any excuse for not haing my pocket camera on me. Can't use the excuse that I didn't want to haul my big 5d around!

And while I won't be fully scrapbooking the whole thing...who has time in busy season?...I plan to use some of my digi kits and just do it all digitally. Should be interesting! I'll be posting when the album is done on my blog.

 

I'm thinking of maybe doing a manageable 4x6 sized album.

Pumpkin patch!

I met up with a few of my photographer friends early last week and we took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch for some pictures and fun. Conner had a ball running through the fields and rolling the pumpkins around!

It's always fun to get together with other photographers. People don't stare as much when we're running around with big cameras and there are a group of us!

Plus, it's nice to get lots of pictures of our kids! ;-)

State Fair

We took Conner to the State Fair today and he had a great time! He was able to ride on quite a few of the kiddie rides, enjoyed petting all the animals and of course eating the greasy but oh-so-good fair food.
